The Surname of White has its origins in United Kingdom, but there are a number of persons today which do not have this lineage. There are a number of reasons for this but most of them have to do with the acceptance of a surname which would fit in. Upon being ranted their freedom, a number of African Americans accepted the surname of White so as to allow for a smoother transaction with the least amount of hostilities. Today the surname of white composes roughly 0.28% of the entire population of the United States.
